CONCRETE FORM PRODUCTS

Armor-Ply HDO & MDO
The
"Armor-Ply" name by Sylvan is commonly specified by architects for HDO
& MDO applications due to its a balanced, all Struc-1 Douglas-fir lay-up,
which enhances the dimensional stability and resistance to warping. Moreover,
Sylvan has some high-resin unbleached "Resin-Form™" overlays which provide
for long-lasting and more consistent finishes than the standard HDO 100/30
or 100/100 options on the market. In addition, some 4x8 panels are available
seasonally in a pre-sanded option, which generally results in less wood
grain telegraphing into the concrete.

It
is difficult to find exact data on the expected number of reuses
from MDO, HDO, and DURA-POUR, as each jobsite, crew, mix design
and operating conditions present different variables and priorities.
However, as a guideline, this chart gives an estimate of "potential"
reuses of some overlay form panels, based on anecdotal experiences
by different end-users in the industry. Proper care to the panels
is essential. These figures do not guarantee future results,
and will vary according to care and maintenance patterns. The
figures on Dura-Pour only indicate potential structural re-use,
but not for unblemished architectural finishes, for which the
specifications by the architect will dictate whether the panels
is for just one or up to five pours. |
| ** |
DURA-POUR
figures are listed for structural use comparisons, however, Dura-Pour is generally purchased for architectural applications, and thus fur such applications, the number of re-uses should be set by the architect. Click the link to read more on DURA-POUR. |
