Service, Durability, Performance

I just wanted to send you a letter and let you know that after all of my research the decision to purchase your product was an excellent choice. Everything you and I discussed regarding the fabrication of this overlay floor was 100% complete when the floor was delivered. I want to thank you very much for all the time you spent regarding the R factor as well as my concerns of the weight we would be putting on this floor.

Numerous arenas have contacted me regarding this new overlay floor and I would not hesitate in recommending this product very highly. Once again, thank you very much for your attentiveness and timeliness regarding this project.

I wanted to sincerely thank you for your efforts to work with me and the Portland Rose Festival to provide the coated plywood plates for our static displays and other civilian and military aircraft at the Airshow this year. The plates were so wildly popular that the Oregon Air National Guard would like me to look into purchasing more this year so we can place all of our airplanes on them instead of the steel plates that we currently use.

The plywood plates proved to be incredibly versatile, tough and mobile. When we use steel plates, we need the use of a forklift and a special attachment to lift them off the runway. More often than not, the runway or ramp is damaged in the process and we usually have to repair it. With the plywood, our guys simply put them down when the planes arrived and picked them up and threw them in the back of a pickup when they departed. Storage was also a breeze. My assistant and I stacked the plates ourselves in the Rose Festival's hangar.

Blue Angel #7, Lt. Ryan Scholl also commented while touring the static line on Sunday: "I have seen airplanes parked on a lot of things. But, I don't think I have ever seen them parked on patio decking" He was very impressed that we had come up with such a creative solution to our problem. This was all thanks to you. I hope that we can do business next year so that we can be in a position to put your product under all of our airplanes.

In 1995, the America West Arena contacted Sylvan Industries with an idea for a panel to be used as an ice cover. The new ice panel idea was originally engineered by the City of Tacoma. After some redesign. Scott Wilson, from Sylvan's Overlay Panel Division, came up with a product that exceeded our expectations in durability, appearance, and R-Value insulation quality.

These panels are set over the ice for an event, and pulled out after that event, approximately fifty times per year. They are easily cleaned and present a flat surface. After examining several ice covers, from different manufacturers, the Sylvan panels have been found to be far superior in every way.

Although I've never met Scott Wilson personally, he tackled this idea with a very professional approach. It was very apparent from the start that he was quite knowledgeable in his field, quick to adapt, and a problem-solver. Scott was responsible for taking the ice cover design into the production stage.

It is my understanding that this design is being used in several other NHL facilities. With an average of over two hundred events each year, the America West Arena has had considerable experience with the panels. We've found the Sylvan panels to be the solution to event floor covering needs.
